I found this game to be a whole lot of fun when I first started playing it. The graphics, sound, and gameplay are all top notch. However, content-wise, it is rather shallow, and gets very repetitive fairly quickly. After a week or so, Ive pretty well abandoned it. But it is certainly worth the $0.99 price.

Ive been through 12 levels so far, and Im having a lot of fun, but I was really hoping to hear "Warrior needs food, badly!", and other such gems from Gauntlet. Of course, Gauntlet is copyrighted material, so I guess I cant complain too much. The game mechanics are very similar to the early Gauntlet games, so its a smash on that front. Younger players might want to have a bit more in the way of character development, but Im satisfied with this very nice rehack of the old classic.

Not bad, I have hopes for future improvement. 1. Ambient and combat sounds could be improved. 2. Gameplay needs to be able to be saved so that a player can continue where he left off. 3. Game movement could be smoother, faster, or both. 4. More variety in environment interaction, say something like adding traps. All-in-all a good beginning for a hack n slash. Adding limited roleplaying elements like skills or abilities would be nice. These issues should be resolved before anyone should buy the next chapter.

Until update this game is a bad joke and a waste of money

When I shell out 99 of my hard earned "copper Abrahams" for a game, I expect it to be nothing less than a fully fledged simulation of the entirety of life and existence in its full glory. Therefore I must reluctantly award only four stars to this mightily wonderful game, which falls just one rung short of simulating my real life existence on the celestial ladderopolous Give it a try.

Okay, the idea and graphics is good, but the whole gameplay is boring. I mean there is only 1 thing u can buy with the in-game money, and its not even worth it. Whenever u get leveled up, there are only 3 things u can power up, and they dont even make a difference. For example, after I upgraded my strength to the last level (lvl 20) it was only about 20% stronger; it still requires 2 hits to kill a spider There r better games that have the same idea but better gameplay...check Solomons boneyard

Dark and dingy graphics repetitive gameplay, in app purchase, so its not really free. Theres much better in the same genre out there

Disclosure: obtained for free during Halloween promotion. Fun, tightly controlled Gauntlet clone. Looks nice, plays well. For free, a great download.

Ok both this and solomons boneyard are each their own individual games with separate strengths and weaknesses. What I wish could be done is combine the level aspect of this game with everything else being from solomons boneyard. This would be a KICK-A hybrid game and would be king if multiplayer were incorporated. So to sum up since I kind of got off track--this is a very mediocre game with nothing to really offer us the gamer and gives little reason to buy this over any other similar game.

Its a great start. I would love to see some more distinction between classes and some level up customization. I like it overall though! :)

Definitely could use multiplayer capability! Also feels like it needs more monster/map variety (maybe Im just not far enough into the game to see it). But a very impressive start! Look forward to seeing more updates!

Responsibly this game handles really well. I dont have to wait half a second for the character to respond. Dungeons are cool, nice job. I think my biggest complaint is that the music is contextually out of place. This game tends to be fast paced, but the music is less rhythmically active and lacks the drive that I think this game needs. The music itself is well written, and I find myself listening to the music only, but in combination with the style game play it is lacking. Also, metal grating for drainage is a characteristic of the late industrial revolution, and would not have been found during this time period.

Not a bad dungeon crawler, but it gets repetitive and there isnt much variance in character/enemy design or build. If youre looking for a great dungeon crawler (and have 99¢ to spare), Id recommend Solomons Keep.

This s a great game!! And its free! I wish they would add more levels and new monsters, also maybe a shop to buy or upgrade your weapons. I would definitely buy the game if that was available in the purchase section :)

I really like this game. It is interesting and fun to play. Can customize the attributes alittle but theere is a max and then you just spend your point elsewhere. Only 1 level so cant do all the quests. I knocked 1 star off because I found it hard to find the quests. Good graphics and fun to play!

Needs a multiplayer mode :) to play with friends through bluetooth or wifi/3G

There should be a melée attack Also a "town" where you can go to a store or something.

if there was more to it like the game fate i would defiantly pay money for this game. whats with getting money u cant do anything with it

I dont get, I wouldve readily paid 2 bucks for this game but yet its FREE?? Now Ive paid for other games that arent worth the time it takes 2 down load it!! Catacombs producers, in the future if you should develop more excellent games let me know! Ill be the1st 2 buy!!! Cant put this Game DOWN;););):)
